Lady of the North

Synopsis

Ana Garrido wants to fly and stop being a poor girl from the mines of Asturias. She loses faith in God when her brother is killed, loses faith in men when her first love hits her, and the second one abandons her. Then she promises to write her destiny with letters bathed in gold.

Ana Garrido wants power. Helped by her sister’s partner, she starts dealing hashish, travels to Madrid, frequents the Colombian discotheque, and enters the underworld of drug trafficking. She manages to control a criminal industry in Spain filled with ruthless individuals. She is nicknamed “La Rubia” and ends up behind bars, sentenced to more than 30 years in prison for leading the largest cocaine shipment ever seized, the “Operation Temple.” Still, she has no regrets; she is “The Lady of the North.”
